If you’re a book addict like me, you probably spend countless hours a day surrounded by books—not to mention most of your savings! Today, I want to share with you some of my favorite places to get freebies and great deals. The sites I mention below, are the ones I frequent the most, though I’m aware there are tons more out there.
I absolutely adore Bookbub! As a reader, Bookbub gives you the opportunity to create a profile and select your favorite genres. Afterwards, you get an email a day with a lot of freebies and discounted books.
Netgalley is a great place to find ARCs of books that will soon hit the market. In this platform, the deal is easy—you get a book in exchange for an honest review. But first you need to be approved by the publisher or by the author.
Facebook ARC Groups
Facebook is full of groups gathering readers and authors. You can try my new group, The YA Book Club. Also, one of my favorite ones is YA Book Stop – YABS, which offers authors the opportunity to connect with thousands of readers searching for ARCs in all YA subgenres in exchange of an honest review. If YA isn’t your cup of tea, all you need to do is a quick FB browse on your favorite genres and I’m sure you’ll stumble into some amazing groups! Wish it till it happens.
Swoonreads is an imprint of Macmillan where aspiring authors put up their manuscripts and readers get to choose which titles get a publishing deal! How exciting is that? You, as a reader, can be involved in the publishing process! But that’s not all! Their readers’ platform and app also gives you the opportunity to make comments on the manuscripts you read, allowing you an editorial role that helps authors improve their work!
If you’re into YA Contemporary Romance, check out my novel “Since We Were Friends.” I’m always happy to get more feedback!
Most authors regularly send a NL to their fans telling them all about their latest news and sharing amazing freebies, book fairs and great book deals, too! Personally, I intend to send mine at least once a month, so you can sign up here if you want to get fantastic YA deals.
Second-Hand book stores
I love, love, looooove going to second-hand stores. Especially, second-hand book stores. You never know what you’re going to find while spending hours browsing the shelves and I always get the feeling books are going to find me rather than the other way around.
Now . . . Let’s discuss!
Where do you find the best book deals? Share your favorite sites in the comments!
